WRF Update

Hi everyone!

As the days continue to get shorter and the temps are slowly but surely dropping, I'm sure everyone is getting excited for the season. The progress on the new 6-pack lift is starting to show each day and today they brought many of the chairs to the base. I suspect we will start seeing the towers going up soon. I will post some update pictures next week. It's happening!

While we were running around with Doug Lewis over Columbus Day weekend, WRF was strongly represented for the NYSSRA/VARA U14 Dryland Camp at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid. Athletes Jack Conneely, Aidan Fromm, McKenna Fromm, Jack Gahn, and WRF coach Todd Glick made the trek to Lake Placid to mix it up with U14's from around the state and from neighboring VARA. The focus for the camp was on basic conditioning and gathering some of the strongest U14 athletes in the Eastern Region together. By all reports, our athletes represented WRF and NYSSRA well over the course of the three day camp and learned where they need some added focus for offseason workouts!

"I am building a fire, and every day I train, I add more fuel. At just the right moment, I light the match."

For those of you who are counting, we are only two months away from the start of program! WRF will commence on December 15th and if you haven't registered for the program, I urge you to do so - SOON! It is vital for us to know who (and how many of you) to expect before the season starts so we can properly staff all age groups. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.

Two months!
