The final weekend is approaching...

We flew through last weekend and we are heading into the final weekend of program! Our MWC teams spent the weekend working on skills promoting pole planting and upper/lower body separation while our U14/16/19 teams trained double sessions both days with GS in the morning and SL in the afternoon. Many of the U14/16/19 athletes are prepping for their post season events of U14 Championships, U14 NY/VT Project, U16 Eastern Finals, and U19 Eastern Finals. We have great athletes who will be representing WRF at these culminating events that start this weekend with U14 Champs and U16 Eastern Finals - good luck to all!

The end of season b net rollup began this weekend. In anticipation of the final weekend of program, we rolled the nets from the top of Warm Up down to the start area for the Jeff Tait Championship. It is always bittersweet when this project begins. Maintaining the nets is a labor of love and they are necessary to keep our athletes in a safe environment for training and racing. While is it a lot of work and at times an incredible pain in the butt, it is still sad when they are rolled up as it signifies the end of the season is near.

The U10/12/14 Kandahar teams took their talents to West Mountain to compete in the Kandahar Festival. Many of them traveled to West to participate in the training day where they had the opportunity to run 9 different sets of GS and Kombi. This was a great opportunity for them to get on the race hill and work with their coaches throughout the day in preparation for the races. The event had our athletes competing in GS on Saturday and Kinder Kombi on Sunday. Based on their Kandahar Festival performances, we have athletes moving on to compete in Francis Piche Invitational and Kandahar Champs, both taking place this coming weekend - good luck! Special shoutout to Georgia Bregman for WINNING the first run of the Kombi! We had an amazing coaching staff for 87 WRF athletes at the event and incredible participation from parents who organized everything from breakfast and lunch, to a team dinner on Saturday and everything in between.

As we roll into the final weekend of program, we have the Jeff Tait Championships on Saturday followed by the last day of program on Sunday. All WRF athletes who are at home should participate in the Jeff Tait Championship on Saturday and that will be the program offering for the day. Please go to www.adminskiracing.com to register. If you would like to volunteer, please check the Volunteer Registration Doc as we will be looking for help with this fun event!

See you on the slopes!
