MWC/U10K race #1 and the storm of the season!

The first Mini World Cup/U10 Kandahar race of the season is in the books! On Saturday, 170 MWC and U10 Kandahar athletes took their talents to Warm Up for their first race of the season. We had a perfect day and incredible conditions for the race. We officially turned Warm Up into a world class venue with b-net lining the hill, vibrant blue dye, and a party in the finish. We had a great showing from the volunteers and we can't thank you enough! Your support makes the day go so much smoother - thank you! Congratulations to all the athletes on a great race. It was great to see our athletes putting their heart and soul into their race run and doing so with a smile! Thank you to all of the coaches and race crew for putting on another great race and getting 170 WRF athletes safely to the finish in 1 hour and 45 minutes!

Sunday brought the biggest storm of the season to Windham, dropping nearly a foot of snow at the summit! While it did briefly switch to something other than snow falling from the sky, the temperature quickly dropped again so we were all able to enjoy some fun in the new snow! It was a bit heavier than we had hoped, but right now a foot of snow was welcome no matter what the consistency!

Looking ahead, we have many athletes with races this coming weekend. The U16/19 team is heading to Gore for their first speed races of the season where they will compete in back to back SG races. The U14's will be heading to West Mountain for an Excelsior Cup SL and paneled SL and the U12 Kandahar team has their first race of the season at Hunter on Sunday where they will compete in paneled SL. The rest of the program will be at Windham building skills, pace, and having fun!
